Finding the Beauty in Every Body: Photographer (and lovely person) Norman J. Wilson
To some there is nothing more beautiful than a woman’s body. Light flows over her curves, highlighting her details and dipping into the shadows of our imagination. We are captivated.
Specializing in bodyscapes and tasteful nudes, Norm Wilson has made photographing the feminine form his career. His passion for art is more than contagious; it is inspiring; motivating to say the least.
I met him at the Metropolitan Market, down town London, Ontario. We had both rented tables and were hopeful for sales or at least some business connections. For the sake of friendship, we were fortunate enough to have the time to get to know each other.
I was working on a community art project and he so very generously came out and photographed the experience. My art exhibit as well. Not to mention promoting me on social networking sites. So much support and encouragement from someone I had barely known. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for the doors he’s opened for me.
His current project is called Lavender Phoenix. An artistic fundraiser for cancer research. He is compiling a collection of artistic nudes which will be combined in a book with stories and information for those affected by cancer. I am sure this project will be very successful and am looking forward to collaborating on a body painting project which will hopefully make the cut.
He is also the creator of the Dark Muse, a (photographic) graphic novel project, caught my attention immediately. Brilliantly planned, excellently executed with all the support a charming photographer could need. He set the scene for a story most artists can relate to; finally being able to create after a long period of not. His Dark Muse is a beautiful mortal possessed by the dormant spirit of the Muse Melpomene, awakened by contact with the Vampire Queen.
Norm is a person easy to be around, an artist that anyone would be grateful to know, and a talent that continues to increase. I am blessed to know you Mr. Wilson. Thanks so much for being you.
I encourage you to enrich your day by visiting Norm’s website www.njw.ca .

Jane Eidness - Artist London, Ontario, Canada
Plate 1
Jane was introduced to me by a mutual friend. I enjoyed her company immediately. She was involved with the G.C.A. project right away. There is NO WAY that I would have been able to pull it off with out her. Without her encouragement, support, art supplies, rides and cigarettes I would have been completely lost.
Jane facilitated this (plate 1) group painting. We spent a sunny Saturday creating group pieces near the tank in Victoria Park. At least 4 pairs of hands created this painting/ collage. Brightly coloured acrylic layered over pages from a bw Monroe calender. Tissue paper was also used to add texture.
During the day Jane works for a major bank. In her spare time she manages to work on her numerous painting commissions while managing to be one of the most lovely people around. She also has a grey cat name Toad.
